Container Dry Strip 1kg – Calcium Chloride Cargo Desiccant
Help protect containerised cargo from excess moisture, condensation, container rain and cargo sweat during shipping and storage.
The Container Dry Strip 1kg is a calcium chloride container desiccant made with calcium chloride and plant starch. It absorbs moisture from the surrounding air and converts the collected moisture into a gel, helping reduce the risk of leakage.
Each strip contains 10 individual 100g sections, providing a total net desiccant weight of 1kg. The inner sections use leak-resistant packaging material, while the outer non-woven covering provides additional protection against seepage.
Under test conditions of 50°C and 95% relative humidity, the desiccant can absorb up to approximately 300% of its own weight within 30 days. Actual performance may vary depending on temperature, humidity, container condition and shipping duration.

Why Use Container Desiccant?
Temperature changes during transport can cause the relative humidity inside a shipping container to fluctuate. When the internal temperature falls below the dew point, water vapour can condense on container walls, ceilings, cargo or packaging.
Using container desiccants helps manage excess humidity and reduce the risk of moisture-related problems such as wet cartons, damaged labels, mould, corrosion and product deterioration.
