Product Description
3A Molecule Sieve is a type of zeolite with a pore size of approximately 3Å. This pore size allows the sieve to absorb molecules with effective diameters samller than 3Å. 3A Molecule Sieves are widely used in Vacuum Glass( insulating glass).
3A molecule sieve specifically used vacuum glass( also know as vacuum insulated glass or VIG) to maintain its insulating properties by abosorbing moisture and gases trapped inside the vacuum space during manufacturing or that might enter over time.
Role of 3A molecular sieves in vacuum glass:
- Moisture absorption: the 3A molecule sieve efficiently removes residual moisture from the vacuum cavity, preventing condensation and maintaining the vacuum's effectiveness.
- Thermal Insulation: By maintaining a vacuum, molecular sieves help reduce thermal conductivity, improving the insulating properties of the glass.
Benefits
- High absorption capacity.
- Stability: they function effectively across a range of temperature and pressures.
- Longevity: 3A molecule sieves maintain their properties for extended periods, making them ideal for sealed environments like vacuum glass.
Application process
- Placement : the sieves are often integrated into the edge-sealing or frame of the vacuum glass unit.
- Sealing: once installed, the glass unit is sealed to maintain the vacuum and prevent contamination.
This ensures durability and performance of vacuum glass in applictions like energry-efficient windows, display panels, and solar energy systems etc.
